I think it’s a Testarossa, and not the 512 kind. Found in a very wealthy part of SoCal
FROM !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
Initially I thought it was a replica of the 1959/60 250 Testa Rossa, but after close examination, it appears to be a 1959 Ferrari 196 S Dino, which was Ferrari’s attempt at a reliable V6 engined race car, and it’s genuine. Only 3 were made, and that one is the second one. Here’s another pic of it. Excellent find!

Looks like a 250TR... Of course my initial reaction is always that if you see it on the street, it's a kit, but still, daaaaaamn.

Looks like an RX450h F-sport. Pretty rare in that color..
Just kidding, I’m not the biggest Ferrari aficionado but looks like a 250TR to me. Nice find!

That would be a 250TR aka Testa Rossa, probably 1958-61. Only the 57 had Scaglietti bodywork with pontoon front fenders and a central engine nacelle. The front fenders got more integrated, and less separated, under Pininfarina and Carrozzeria styling, like the car pictured above.
If this is not a replica, it is a 15-20 million dollar car being parked on the street. Only 34 250TRs were built.
And a replica probably wouldn’t bother being right-hand-drive for a US customer.

Of course, you always assume it’s a kit, but I’ve seen original pre war Bugatti at the same Cars and Coffee, so you never know

Fairly certain it’s a kit. Well done, but not an original. Something seems off with the panel gaps/wheel arches/dimensions.

I need to see the fittings and some stuff up close. Was it aluminum? In person you can tell if its a gel coated glass fiber or something easily, also the interior mechanicals and fittings are pretty hard to copy with patina etc.

Well there are very real looking replicas, could be, but still worth a couple hundred K or more for that kind of work.

Well there are these replicas, can’t call this a kit, but not real. Probably a Ferrari engine.

Originals NEVER had perfect panel gaps/wheel arches/dimensions since they were hand built. Seldom you would find left and right sides to be exactly the same. After all, they were just made for one purpose in those days - to be raced.

Question: Is it really every Sunday now? Some years ago, it was last Sunday of the month...
No wonder it looked familiar, that street. I come through there at least two or three times every late Summer but never Sunday. May have to make a special trip...

Trust you did see the subsequent post identifying the car correctly, at Pebble Beach Concourse of Elegance, no less. Since only cars with impeccable provenances get invited to those incredible greens, that alone proves the car is indeed real, no doubt.
